Mashappz combine hardware and software to create a new mashed-up application - a mashapp. Mashappz were made possible by the Internet; made practical by APIs and web servcies; and will be made pervasive by the Internet of Things and Open Data.

You can register and login to post your own mashappz ideas or you can simply view and enjoy those posted by other mashers. You can make suggestions for mashappz and participate in mashappz challenges for prizes. You can bid to develop mashappz for other users.

It's a set of 3 hardware or software that when connected together in the way you describe and visualize through 3 simple images, create a mashapp.

The Internet of things. Sensors. Smart watches. Arduino. Android and iPhone apps. APIs. Big/Open Data. You know, all that cool stuff.

You set your mashapp type to 'Project' and this lets other users bid on your project. Then you can view all the bids and get in touch with the bidder who meets your needs so you can pay them to get your mashapp built for you.

There's no money involved except the prizes for mashappz challenges. If a Project gets Bids then the 'owner' masher is free to connect with a bidder to build the mashapp.

Yes. Why not? Just because a mashapp is something that a business sells or promotes does not mean it might not be interesting to the mashappz community. But please - only post it as a 'Play'.
